What do you think about this weather?? It has been a bit irritating if you ask me! It is for sure putting a damper on my getting into my garden...But I try to stay rooted in patience and know before long I will be spending most of my days and nights tending to it. So I try to be still and know that it will happen in due time.
The nighttime temperatures are dropping very low. Some of your cole crops (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, etc...) are fine with the lower temperatures. They can be ok without extra precautions unless it reaches 30 or below. I do not suggest you begin planting any of the tender plants that can not handle temperatures below 50 such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc.
How are you protecting your plants?
Are you protecting your plants with the lowering nighttime temperatures? Here are some suggestions you may use.
Row cover (I get mine off Amazon)
milk jugs (creating a mini greenhouse, or winter sown garden)
sheets, or fabric
Anything that will protect the frost from settling on the leaves of your seedlings.
