Good Morning Green Sprouts!!
It's already the second week of July; wow, this season is flying by! I'm really starting to get a lot of pest pressure this year, how about you? I've been plucking Japanese beetles like crazy—they're loving my pole beans but not touching my bush beans, so at least I'll get a harvest. I go out as much as I can to handpick them and put them in a bucket of soapy water. This time, I used vinegar water because I already had it available for weed control. The aphids are attacking one of my tomato plants, so I'm going to let that plant take one for the team and focus on keeping them away from the rest of my plants; this is an example of a trap crop. I also use neem oil and spray my plants about once every 7-14 days, depending on the pest pressure.
What are you experiencing? Any pests attacking your plants?"
