Good morning, everyone!

I hope you're enjoying the summer season as much as I am. It's an exciting time to witness the abundance of produce coming out of the gardens. Before I dive into creating more programs and live workshops for all of you, I wanted to gather your input and preferences. Your feedback will help me tailor the offerings to your interests and needs. So, let's begin with a couple of polls!

Poll 1: Preferred Platform

Please let me know which platform you would like to engage with for these programs:

A) Online program (self-paced learning)

B) Live workshop (in person, in the garden)

It looks like it is going to get hotter by the end of the week.

We experienced a really hot snap last month which is early for May, and it looks like June may be just as tough.

This can affect your plant in many ways.

I'm so excited to be participating in the Effingham Farmers Market this season!!! I will be speaking with people about the services Green Sprout Living offers as well as selling my herbal teas, some produce and also some live plants.

Make sure you come up and see me. The Market is every Saturday from 8-12 positioned around the court house lawn in Effingham Il.

I have been stressing this year to all my clients that the no till method does not require as much watering attention because the organic matter in the compost will retain much of the moisture. But WOW this Spring we have hit some really hot dry temperatures. I want to stress to you all that each year is a new challenge so there may be times when you have to water more or less.

Keep an eye on your plants, if the need water, water them as needed....a good way to check is to put your finger into the soil to your second knuckle and see if the soil is moist under the top surface.

P.S. Last year I watered my garden a total of about 4 times this year I have already watered it twice. 😑
