Hello Green Sprout Fam...I wanted to add a short little reminder that just because the last frost date was April 20th does not mean you should plant all your vegetables and fruit plants into the ground just yet!!!

Some of the plants in the brassica family and others such as potatoes and onions are fine to get into the ground, but the warm season crops need to hold off until the ground temps are above 55-60...be patient it will get here before you know it!!

For more information on planting what when, refer to this post

I can't believe I missed the April 1st newsletter! But nevertheless, I got it sent out! April kicks off the busy season for gardeners, with tasks ranging from prepping garden beds to starting seeds indoors. Don't worry, though—you'll get it all done!

Now, mark your calendars because I've set a deadline for myself for the launch of the next program at the end of April. It's all about "5 Herbs to Optimal Health." I'm really excited about this program as it dives into my favorite herbs that I grow to boost my garden pharmacy. I'll be sharing in-depth tips on how to grow each herb and offering some fantastic deals for program participants. Get ready for an exciting journey into herbal health and gardening!

Hello my faithful Green Sprouts!!

Just thought I would give you an idea of what I am planting this week. Now just because I am planting these crops now doesn't mean you will not be able to plant them. I know I have a few of you that are starting your gardens this year and have not yet set up for planting, and thats OK! You will be able to grow a ton of food this year I promise!

For the people that have started their beds in the previous years here are the crops you can direct sown by March 25th.

  • Kohlrabi

  • Lettuce

  • Parsnips
