Hey GSL Peeps! ๐ŸŒŸ Have you been keeping up with the latest trends in plant-based nutrition and gardening? Itโ€™s all about sustainability and making eco-friendly choices in both our diets and gardens. ๐ŸŒฟ

The big focus right now is on reducing our environmental footprint by growing our own food and choosing plant-based options that are better for our health and the planet. People are really getting into the idea of "garden-to-table" eating, where you grow fresh produce in your backyard or even on a small balcony and use it to create delicious, nutrient-packed meals. ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅฌ

If you're new to gardening, don't worry! Start with easy-to-grow plants like tomatoes, leafy greens, or herbs. Even a small container garden can make a big difference. Plus, itโ€™s so satisfying to cook with ingredients you've grown yourself! ๐Ÿชด

When it comes to plant-based eating, the trend is shifting towards whole, unprocessed foods. Think colorfulโ€ฆ

Good Morning Green Sprouts!!

It's already the second week of July; wow, this season is flying by! I'm really starting to get a lot of pest pressure this year, how about you? I've been plucking Japanese beetles like crazyโ€”they're loving my pole beans but not touching my bush beans, so at least I'll get a harvest. I go out as much as I can to handpick them and put them in a bucket of soapy water. This time, I used vinegar water because I already had it available for weed control. The aphids are attacking one of my tomato plants, so I'm going to let that plant take one for the team and focus on keeping them away from the rest of my plants; this is an example of a trap crop. I also use neem oil and spray my plants about once every 7-14 days, depending on the pestโ€ฆ

@Everyone

Good morning, Green Sprouts!

Happy Fourth of July! I hope you are having a safe and exciting Independence Day. I just wanted to reach out and give you a few tips for July!

As we kick off July, it's crucial to give some extra TLC to keep your garden thriving. Here are a few tips to keep your garden healthy and productive this month:

1. Weed Management: Stay on top of those weeds! They steal nutrients and water from your crops. Pull them out regularly to keep your plants happy and healthy.

2. Pest Control: Keep an eye out for pests like aphids, beetles, and caterpillars. There are great organic options for dealing with them, such as neem oil, insecticidal soap, or just hand-picking them off your plants.

Do you know what to look for in your garden when it comes to diseases that can form and become detrimental to your plants' health? I am currently writing a blog about three diseases commonly found in your garden, so watch out for it as soon as I get it published."
